Sir Edward Parry

Sir Edward Parry was a noted polar explorer and for fifty years was the leader of an expedition that reached closer to the north pole than any other. His time as Commissioner of the Australian Agricultural Company saw him travel through Karuah (then Sawyers Point) on many occasions both by boat and by horseback.
